Friday, August 29, 2008 - Rest Day in West Lafayette, IN

We started reworking the final stage of our route. Lots of frustrating choices to make, more mileage/less hills or more hills/less mileage? stop to visit here or go another way around? on and on and on... Janet saved us from brain freeze by taking us downtown to see her artists' coop shop. She's a potter and had a number of pots in the shop; there were also arts and crafts of every other sort there.

We're eating like starving artists ourselves - nothing like having home-cooked meals after all the cheeseburgers we've been consuming. Janet & David have their own garden as well, so a lot of the veggies we've had have been home-grown. We should be well fueled by the time we get on the road.
