Saturday, August 30, 2008 - Rest Day in West Lafayette, IN

Rest day #2 - we finally put the finishing touches on the last 720-mile sprint for home. Our expected arrival date is now Sunday, 9/14. We added a couple of days to make it easier to take the little bumps in the road we expect to find in western PA (aka the Allegheny Mountains).

We also strolled around David & Janet's property, taking pictures of their llamas, pond, garden, etc. It's been a nice restful two days, unlike most of our 'rest' days. Tomorrow morning we're off again with one more rest day - at Pat's cousin Linda's house west of Pittsburgh - and 14 more riding days to go. Hard to believe we're that close to being home!
