Wednesday, June 11, 2008 - Rest Day in Eureka, CA

No pictures today - sorry! Eureka just wasn't that photogenic and we were working too hard on our routes for next week to get down to the scenic Humboldt Bay. I did manage to find a replacement Camelbak without any trouble, at a sporting goods store just a couple of blocks away, so I'm all set for water again.

We've had to adjust some of our planned stops for next week based on some steep hills coming up. Tomorrow night will still be in Orick, CA as planned, but the next night will be in Smith River, CA, just under the Oregon border, instead of Brookings, OR, just over the Oregon border. And all the rest of the stops will have to get adjusted accordingly. We only worked out the stops between here and Winchester Bay, OR, so there will have to be more adjusting after that. We may have to add an extra day, but we're going to try to make it work out without resorting to that. We'll see how it goes this week.
